Last one for today, because my fingers are tired.
Remember my suggestion on Blackstone, he was a Scottish educated thinker. Also, we got the original steam engine, the division of time zones by a Scottish Canadian, and many other things. It took me three months to read some of the writings of the most influential thinkers; that is to say, those who influence the statesmen of the late 1700s. However, they were mostly Scottish, or of Scottish descent. Also, universities like Pittsburg, Penn, Princeton and Chicago were originally modeled on the great Scottish universities, like Edinburgh.
Oh, and before I forget, my mention of the Greeks and Romans had relevance regarding their laws, statesmen, goverments, and organization; not their arts. That’s a whole other 3 months.
